D-Lay Day
Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 1:30PM Just got the game up on the 3GS, 4, 4S, and iPad 2. The good news is it works. The bad news is it doesn't work well on the 3GS, which is something we had mostly resolved a month or two ago, meaning we're bloating the code again. Not that it's unplayable, just that its choppy.
We're delayed on finishing up the Banshee Queen and Super Death Knight boss battles. Hopefully that will be more or less done today, but i'm guessing thursday. The other good news is we're pretty much balanced and ready to go with 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, and 2-2. Just a few cutscenes missing.
That being said i'm also worried that we may need to reduce our cutscene load before ship if there's any hope of getting gamecenter integration in there. I think we'll be more or less okay, and there's always patching!
Also we found an interesting bug that has to do with disabling/enabling gameobjects messing up our save system, which was being triggered by our cutscene code. Solution? The cutscene camera culls everything but actors, meaning we don't have to disable anything.
